Hello all!
9 more days and im off!!
and as you can probably tell already- im excited!!!
ok. enough exclamation marks.
i got my student ID number and email and stuff last night. So i can finally start enrolling in courses which is what i sorted out this evening. i have 22 hours of classes each week! and 2 of them start at 8am in the morning, and my bio prac is 4 hours long- on a friday evening. (at least, that's what i understood from the confusing internet thing which i spent ages trying to figure out) Apart from that, everything's good. hahaha. omg. i'll be so dead.
i was talking to some people during the pre-departure seminar on saturday, and theres this guy, called Kenneth- i dont know why i remember his name- he said he knows a couple of malaysian girls who study pharmacy in UniSA and they don't speak english very well, but when it comes to things about pharmacy- they're like walking, talking encyclopedias! well basically, a lot of memorising. and studying. and memorising. ill be a zombie in no time.
So anyawy. like i said i spoke to people about living in adelaide and stuff. and i think i'm quite prepared. i just have to worry about my meals. cuz i still can't cook. haha. ha. ha. ha... =S
goodnight.

change of plans - again.
I'm now flying to Adelaide by myself. BY MYSELF! Shit.
As much as i wanted to do that before, ive been accustomed to the idea that mum will be flying with me for an entire month almost. Then all of a sudden- i'm going myself. I need to get my head around that.
Anyway. in 2 weeks time i would have just arrived in my new home in Adelaide. I Better like it there cuz im stuck there for the next 4 years at least.
hm. i have nothing else to say. end of story i guess. im going alone. yay!

How long have we been friends?
I was out today with Dominic and Mjelva. Sometime during our time out we met up with Mjelva's brother's friend for coffee cuz Mj had to pass something to her. So we were just talking aobut stuff when she asked, "So, how long have you been friends?"
That's when i realised - I don't really know.
That's a pretty difficult question.
See, with some people, it's simple. I've been friends with Ritika, Sheila, and Jennie ever since i started school at UWC which is about 4 and a half years ago. They were in my tutorgroup. I met Shobana in my French class in grade 9 and she was really helpful since ive only done french for 1 year and i sucked pretty bad. (i still do... :P) Then she was also in my geo class! and that made me very happy. in the 4 years of UWC geo and french, Shobana was my buddy :) I've been friends with Amy since she started at SFS in grade 8. I've been friends with Jas Min, Mae Bel, Meg and Azlin since i entered MGPS in primary 4 which makes that about 9 years plus. I've been friends with Doreen, Claudia, Justina and the other St Mary's girls since Primary 1.
But for other people... the time between knowing of each others existence and becoming friends is quite... whats the word... hazy?
Steph lee, michelle angela, esther, jasmin- (steph, michelle- is it because of math with mr bush?) (michelle- english :) )
I remember M2M when we went to michelle's house supposedly to come up with a dance routine :P and lana's farwell party, and the hotel sleepover after grade 10 formal. but i never really hung out with them at school... or did i? how long have i been friends with them?
Swati- i think we started being friends in grade 11 when she ended up in my french class and she's ritika's friend. i think. i remember i spent my grade 11 with the taiwanese girls under the tent and i dont remember being very close to swati...
The taiwanese and other chinese girls- well, they were in the taiwanese UN night thing. which is how i got to know them in the first place. and because of that i ended up spending my breaks and lunches with them. I stuck with them for the rest of IB. I don't even have any classes with them. a bit strange.
There's a whole bunch of people i'm unsure about. But going back to the first two:
I've known of Dominic's existence since Grade 10. I met him and had my first conversation to him sometime in Grade 11 when we ended up in the same geography and biology class. I guess we started being friends then. That makes about 2 and a half years...
Mjelva's been in my tutorgroup since Grade 9. During my 4 years at UWC the only class i had with him (apart from ttg) is TOK where he sits at the other end of class anyway. I don't remember ever speaking to him in grade 9-10. I had a brief conversation with Ritika about mjelva and I and she said i spoke to him sometime in grade 11 and that's when we started to be friends. Maybe so. But it had to be sometime late in grade 11 cuz he was quite a stranger in TOK class. (:
I guess in the end of the day it doesn't really matter how long we've been friends for(that applies to everyone). What matters most, is that right now, we're friends. And no matter what happens i trust i'll always have someone to turn to for comfort, help and advice.
That said, with the number of people we meet in the future and the many new friends we will make, i wonder how many of our old friendships will last?

Hello all!
Last week has been good. Its nice that so many people can make it back to singapore.
i met up with a whole list of people- some i didnt plan to meet up with but got together anyway. apart from dom, swati and marty whom ive been meeting very often :) i met sheila, ritika, jennie, sofia, akki, alison, alex, chris, jon, erica, dodo...
then my paretns decide ive been out at night too much and too late and for the first time since school let out- i had a real curfew. 11pm.
i still don't know what would have happened if i didn't get back at 11. but i guess i don't want to find out. ill probably not be allowed out at nights anymore or sometihng. or have an even earlier curfew. or my parents would just be really pissed off and thats not fun.
ritika left yesterday. martina is leaving tomorrow. swati is leaving on weds. :(
im falling sick...

i dont know if this new year is very happy after all...
but i guess it isnt BAD. could be worse. my bro's having exams. at least i don't have that. i do miss the library tho. the one i spent hours and hours in revising before IB exams... when people have left and i have nothing to do, i plan to go there to go over some stuff before uni starts. u know, to get my brain back into gear...
SO. i'm out of work. my bro and dad are complaining about holidays ending. As for me, i suddenly have another long holiday. which i don't want cuz then i'm forced to do things like sort out my stuff, clean my room, help around the house- u know, the kind of things parents never fail to ask you to do if you're hanging around the house doing nothing productive. But looking on the bright side, i don;t have to worry about finding time to sort out my visa and medical checkup and stuff. it's a bit late. i know, but im having some problem with getting my visa done cuz i dont have all the info i need. apparently, the thing i need was sent to me but i never got it. so i'm trying to sort that out now.
What's happening the first few days in adelaide still isn't entirely confirmed yet, but for now i'll be flying there with my mum on the 8th and staying in a motel or something for the first few days. We will have to buy furniture and stuff for the new place. on the 12th i start orientation and my mum will still be there and will still be sorting out the new apartment.
at one point we were trying to get tickets for my dad and brother to fly there too...
so much for flying there alone and seeing what its like to be lost and confused in a new place. i guess in a way its good but still... i wanted to go alone. and i wanted to stay in somewhere already furnished, and have housemates and all that. now my first housemate will be my mum and i'll be living alone after that. yay.
So the next few days will be spent by:
-meeting friends and having fun :)
-buying stuff i need for adelaide
-sorting out things i need to bring to adelaide
-sorting out my visa and medical checkup
-write something for my scholarship application! ><
-helping mum at home when she needs
-learning easy things to cook
-play the piano and guitar as much as possible cuz i can't bring them with me to aussiland. :(
i'm going to school on monday. yay. :) (that was NOT sarcasm) haha. how ironic. it would be a million years before anyone says that while doing IB.
