Fruss!!

What was supposed to be a simple- 'ok pack and go cuz everything's settled' issue is now all complicated. Again.

Monash decided to send me another offer, this time including a scholarship! which would make the cost of going to monash the same as UniSA. And as most people know, a degree from Monash is definitely more recognised than UniSA.
But going to monash means i need to somehow find a way to get back the deposit from UniSA and start over in finding accomodation in melbourne and all that...

in the end of the day it all comes down to how important is it to me, getting a degree from Monash..... instead of unisa. hmmph.

work sucks.
i get paid $4.60 per hour. morning shift is 8:30- 4:30, midshift is 12-8 and evening is 2:30-10:30 (or later depending on whether theres problems with calculations and stuff or not)

i get worked hard!! Today i spent some time first moving lots of milk powder frmo the display area to a corner of the store. then later today i spent some more time moving those from that corner into the store. I don't understand their logic. I could have moved them from outside right into the store room. saves energy, saves time. -_- anyway i was at work from 9am to 8pm today.

There's actually notmuch dust here. i mean, its indoors. it could be raining heavily, thunderstorm and all that and i wouldn't know anything until i get home and my mums like- it was raining so heavily today! and im like oh really...?
The store is big. pretty damn big. its the biggest Guardian outlet in singapore. and i dont understand WHY they can't get more staff. i know there's a lot of people out there looking for jobs. just stick up a job vacancy sign. HOW HARD IS THAT!??! Seriously, everyone here is overworked. There's this girl there who's from Phillippines, she's doing training at guardian. so she gets paid less than me. Today, instead of normal shifts (which we have to work over time most of the itme anyway) she had to work full shift.meaning, the entire day. from 8:30 am to 10:30pm. And because there isn't enough staff, she has to do that again tomorrow! i mean, seriously how fair is that??? It's like cheap labour i swear. thats wrong.... it should be against the law.
And we go in at about 8:30-9 in the morning. my lunch time is SUPPOSED to be at 2:30 which is already FRiggin late. But today i only got lunch at 4pm. I mean, by that time i really don't feel hungry anymore. And its so unfair. the manager and supervisor went to lunch together (which left me and that girl alone managing the store for about 30mins+) oh, and they went at 12:30. but when it was our turn to have lunch (at 3+) we cant go together. so anyway since i wasnt hungry anymore i let her have lunch first then i went. but its so unfairrrr.....

They're so short on staff, i really shouldn't be letting them push us around. but well, in a way if i do whatever i feel like doing, it leaves the other staff more work to do which makes me feel bad so i dont.

agh.

on the plus side, all this hard working and little eating helps with trying to lose the weight i gained from kuantan. :P
and im still getting paid more than i was in kuantan...

o and to answer more of liongs questions- the pharmacist is SO singaporean is pretty scary. her accent. OMG if u want to know how a sprean speaks- talk to her. She's ok. i like Jessica better. :) Apart from the supervisor lady, my manager isnt too bad. i dont really get her tho. if that makes any sense. my collegues, well, THere's Gloria, the girl from phillippines. she's 19. we get along pretty well although hard to undrstand her sometimes. haha. but yea. they're nice people.

enuff rambling. its 1am and i hvae morning shift tomorrow. again. and im planning to go out after that since today's plans didnt work out...
goodnight

About work

There isn't much to say anyway but since Liong asked i thought instead of replying to his comment i'll write it here.
So- this is for Liong. :) since im surprised he came to my blog... haha

It's not the same as working at Voon Pharmacy. Here, ONLY the pharmacist can get things behind the pharmacy counter. Some guy couldn't even buy Kenalog (this thing you can use for mouth ulcers...) But some of their vitamins and other medicine that was behind the counter in Voon is accessible here to public. things like Sangobion, Tanakan, Senokot, duphalac, obimin... dont remember what else. but that sorta thing... Oh and just fyi, even though i think no one cares, Senokot here is $5 for 60 tabs. in Voon its RM0.09 each tablet.
Anyway, what do i do there?? well... re-stocking shelves, making sure things on display are straight, and nice.. and the shelves don't look empty, and i get to use the cashier. :) I still can't figure out how to work the cards tho... ppl's cards i mean. at Voon all you do is stick the card in the machine and punch in the price, and enter. and its done. Here, for a different card, there's a different machine and its all very confusing. Ooh and i also get to scan items. haha. fun. but i guess only a while... after that maybe i'll get bored of it...
I've been worked hard the past 2 days cuz they're clearing out their store room. I thought Voon Pharmacy was messy and dusty at places, but i havent seen other places i guess. its a big mess here in the store... and its not like they have lots of stuff! compared to voon, this guardian has NOTHING! And therefore the entire store is being re-organised and i now have lots to do... taking things out, and re arranging and all that...
1 thing tho, ud think they would try to get rid of some dust and dirt but no.. they leave everything jsut as dusty as they are to put on display, and when reorganising...
