Maybe this is what I'm supposed to be doing afterall...

I spent my day in Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Despite the tutorials about Gentamicin where I was falling asleep and was quite lost at some parts... and lots of talking... and another presentation during lunch...
I actually felt quite comfortable in the hospital environment. I really liked it. The part where we were walking from one end of the hospital to the other to the patients wards with our notebooks made me feel like an intern from Grey's Anatomy :) I was falling asleep in the tutorial mainly because I slept late last night and I'm not much of a morning person. And that happened quite early in the morning! Apart from that, learning about it was actually quite interesting. I like how its our responsibility that the patient gets the correct dosage of the right drugs etc etc. It's exciting. It's just like how a surgeon is in charge of a patient's life when they're under the knife. Ok so maybe its not THAT exciting, but still. We play a part. And a pretty important part too. Xp. and we don't have to dig our hands into bloody body organs. but now i think of it, a part of me really wants to...
anyway, i believe there is a high likelihood that I'll find myself working in a hospital 5 years from now. or maybe just 3 or 4... yea...
i know its only been 1 day but first impressions count :) i'll probably twist and turn every situation i dont like in the hospital pharmacy later on to be something i like just because i said i would. and it'll all work out fine.

I made a cake today. It worked! but i didnt take pictures. the camera is dead. and i also forgot. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the cake (ive been craving for cake even though i've had cake every week since every week we've had a birthday). Anyway, i ate it before i managed to take a picture.

I went to hahndorff with conie and joawenn on sunday. Due to my laziness to turn on my computer, i haven't managed to transfer the photos onto a hard drive to pass to conie or joawenn, or to upload any of them. btw, i'm on the uni computer now. so no, my computer isn't on.

I believe...

...in Science and Darwin's theory of Evolution.

...I can do better.

...I have multiple personalities. But the different personalities shape who I am, and the older I get, the more difficult it is to distinguish between the differences as they fuse together to form Me.

...I am a big fat copycat in many things...

...in the power of music.

...being a pharmacist is not my destiny, but as I don't know what my destiny is, I will have to stick with it.

...I couldn't have chosen a better place to do my tertiary studies.

...my apple is too loud and crunchy and it's making other people around me annoyed.

...I have spent too much time blogging and it's time I start doing something productive.

People.

1) You don't know what you have. There are many people in this world who would love to be like you. And you don't see that.
2) I miss you. Its been ages.
3) I need a change of environment. We could get a drink and talk about things I havent talked about for a long time. If only you were here.
4) I wish I knew you better. You should get your friends and we can hang out together sometime. Maybe we have a lot more in common than you think.
5) Why so competitive? Some things don't need to be compared. It makes you selfish in ways I cannot explain here.
6) First impressions. It's amazing what they can do. But when your true colors are so ugly, sometimes even first impressions can fade.
7) I don't understand you. You're a bit strange. You know when sometimes you're completely Neutral towards someone- no hate, no love, no dislike, no like. That's you.
8) You lifesaver. We'll fail without you. He should know that.
9) Did you ever feel the same way about me the way you feel about her?
10) What happened to us? I thought we were friends. Then you go and ruin it all.

I'm a spendthrift.

=S

And I'm working for it. Well, trying to, since its the holidays.

The reason I spent so little last year was because I know that every single cent I spent comes from my parent's pockets. The money is not mine to spend. So it's not right that I spend it on something for ME. I try to make myself feel better by thinking, "I used to get pocket money when I was at school. So I could take some out from the money my parent's give and call that my pocket money." The only problem is, I don't actually keep track of how much I take to spend...

So, this year- problem solved. I work. I keep a separate bank account for MY money. I spend as I wish. And now that I'm making my own money, I'm finding it difficult to control my spendings. Depending on how much I spend, I think, "That's ok. That's just another couple of hours (or however much money it is) of work."
Result: I don't save much...
But i'm trying. I want to go on a holiday sometime. I want to know what it's like to have enough money to pay all your bills, spend on yourself, and save for something bigger in the future.

Sedikit-sedikit, lama-lama jadi bukit. :)

Adelaide is a gorgeous place

On one hand...
(I studied! :P)

On the other hand...

All on the same day...

One thing leads to another...

I woke up this morning and felt sick-ish, so I decided to complain to my friend via SMS.
But a while later and I still haven't received her reply.
So I thought maybe she was still asleep and when she does read my message she'll wonder why I'm up earlier than usual.
So I thought of telling her that I had to sell my textbook to a junior who decided to meet me at 10:30am... so even at that time I was already late.
Then I thought of a reason why she may be still sleeping at that time and i thought maybe cuz she was on MSN last night.
Then i remembered her msg about not being able to do anything else properly on the internet except going on MSN. I on the other hand, Couldn't really go on msn but could do everything else on the internet ( although the internet was a bit messed up and slow last night...). But i didn't really feel like going on MSN anyway, so it didn't bother me.
I thought of why I stopped going on msn. No one of interest to talk to maybe.
So I thought of my friend and thought maybe she's always online because there are some people she enjoys talking to on msn. I thouhgt of one person in particular.
Then i remembered it was that person who mentioned the name Li Ann* to her. The other day at Pancake House, she asked me if we knew a Li Ann and I said we don't. But later on I remembered that I knew a Li Ann, so I told her about it, and she said she never mentioned that name. But she did! or was it a different name?
So all of this happened in my head when i was in the shower because i thought... wow. this is really random- one thought leads to another and it just goes on and on. I remembered this thing I did in grade 7 during one of the school's 'special' weeks where we do other things apart from school work, and one of my sessions was about something like this. I thought it was an extremely boring session (completely useless and random), but I really think they had a name for a situation like this when one thing leads to another. maybe not thoughts, but events. So I tried Google-ing it but I couldn't find anything.

Unfortunately all that lead to was another long, boring, pointless, blog entry.

I tried to think of some picture to put in here but the only thing i can come up with is Dominoes. Because i suddenly thought maybe its called the dominoes effect. But I'm sure they had another name for it in 7th Grade. So im not going to post a picture of dominoes. That's just really random.

o and one more thing. googling dominoes made me spend ages watching dominoes clips on youtube. =.="

Past blog entries...

I realised I've been blogging quite A LOT recently. Then I took a look at my blog archive and realised that I had 20 blog entries for May 2006. That's the most on the monthly blog record. So i clicked into that and found out that it's the Exam period. The time for procrastination :) So this is what this is now... my blogging frenzy. It's just another time for serious procrastination.

So anyway... I wrote about the silliest things during my exam period. I had an entire paragraph about french vocab:

"...when i was doing french i was messing around a lot doodling and stuff and didnt get much done. but for now i know how to write verbs inpresent, futur, passe compose, imparfait, plus que parfait('had done' - imperfect auxiliary + past tense verb) , subjonctif (take the 'ils' form of the verb as the stem and use the different endings: e, es, e, ions, iez, ent), and something else which i cant remmeber the name of... but its like... the future stem and imperfect endings, and the past tense form of that is when the auxiliary is written as that, and the verb is in passe compose. please let me get that right... i need to go check. ok. its called conditional, and conditional past. and i did get it right. :) its used when constructing a sentence which starts with 'si'. there are 3 types:present... futureimparfait... conditionalplus que parfait... conditional pasti need to learn the irregular verbs... and VOCAB. my vocab is so limited... i dont know if i start learning them now itll be enough to understand stuff on friday, and to be able to write a good essay... i need a 6 in french. well i want a 6. i cant aim any higher than that i guess since i messed up my oral exam pretty badly. enough about french."

I don't remember them all now...

And then i went on about Sudoku being a 'Group' which is one of those things we were doing in Math:

"...guess what? isnt sudoku in a way a group? (math p3 stuff) its only missing an operation... i mean, k. if 1 is the identity, then 1 appears in every row and every column so every element has an inverse. so theres identity, an inverse, and its closed. well, without an operation, then thers no such thing as associativity is there? hahaha."

What the hell is a group anyway? I seriously CANNOT remember. But that's fine. I don't need to know about groups in pharmacy.

I called ritika, sheila and kathleen: "a biscuit, an alien and a cat" :)

Things to do: "5) finish off leaving pages for people who asked me to do them. i had 5. started 3, need to do 2 more." What are leaving pages?? o.O
"6) buy cards or make them... and write something in them- ONLY for some teachers whom i appreciate." I never got around to doing this... I went back to school after graduation a few times to see my teachers though, and i got Mr Price (my bio teacher) something.

OK. i think i'll stop there with my May 06 blog entries... wow it seems like such a long time ago.

I realise i can really go on and on about things. I don't stop talking. It's embarassing when i look through msn conversations and see lots of PINK (my font is pink) and hardly any of the other color of the other person's font... =S
